In 2022, we continued to lean in and listen. We know how much many of you desire the comfort of our clogs for all the other shoes in your life. From sandals, to boots, to new dress shoe options, we pushed our limits while staying true to our signature style and comfort you know and love. Here’s a look back on all we’ve accomplished last year and the impact we plan to make in 2023.
New to the Stegmann Family last year
After the success of our Louisa Slingback, we brought you the Emma Slide. Customers have said again and again it is the most comfortable slide on the market.
Our first boot design, the Chelsea Boot in Nubuck Leather, was an exciting launch for us in 2021. In 2022, we took them to the next level with a new Chelsea Boot in Vegetable-Tanned Leather in luxurious tan, brown, and black options.
It was time for a new color option in our signature Original 108 Clog. Inspired by nature, we chose a dreamy Sage green color to launch in 2022 for both men and women.
Finally, we expanded our commitment to species preservation and to the environment. We worked with small farmers to welcome a new Eco Clog color: a soft and warm Coburger, made from the wool of a Coburger Fox sheep. In addition, we launched a long-term partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation to donate 1% of all EcoWool sales to support reforestation efforts.
What to Expect in 2023:
We’re already organizing our warehouse to make room for new styles! We can’t wait to introduce you to more members of our growing Stegmann family.
In time for Valentine’s Day, we will introduce the newest color in the Louisa Sandals. Look out for a delightful Poppy Rose colorway in February. Poppy Rose, just so happens to be a dead ringer for the color of the year: Viva Magenta. This vibrant pink sling back is launching ahead of Valentines Day, and just in time for your sunny getaways and spring break trips!
Comfortable Wedges with Arch Support
In early spring, get ready for our very first line of wedges. We’re really excited to offer a wide range of wedge options that provide comfort and weave in elevated style. Being true to ourselves and our commitments, we can assure you that while they are very fashionable, these are not your daughter's wedges. With a 1.25" heel height and .75" inch toe platform, they'll give you a little leg up with very little slope to cause pain.
The foot bed is soft and supportive with arch support and all the Stegmann comfort you know and love. We will roll out various wedge styles all year long.
Our first wedge sandal to launch will be the Layna Slide (left). It fits much like the Emma Slide, yet features a wider leather upper strap for more coverage and a little bit of added height on the wedge.
Polished Slides Inspired by Best Sellers
We based the design for the new Mia slide on our popular Maria Mule. Fans of the Maria will fall in love with the chic open toed Mia. Mia has a soft, padded suede footbed with arch support and wrap around leather for a professional, polished aesthetic. A modest open toe makes this the perfect Spring to Summer transitional sandal for your wardrobe.
Your Old Favorites in New Materials
If you own a pair of Liesl or Maria mules, you'll know that their wool lining keeps your feet comfortable in all seasons. We wanted to bring you a truly summer friendly version and we fell in love with the look of woven cork.
Cork is a fully sustainable material (it is harvested from bark rather than fallen trees) and this shoe is made with roughly 95% renewable resources. A cork upper on a cork footbed also makes these shoes super lightweight and cushioning. The cork upper is lined with canvas for breathability and soft comfort. Summer here we come!
Falling for Wedges
Coming in the Fall are even more adorable and ultra comfortable wedges! The Sofie Wedge is fits like our popular Liesl Skimmer and constructed with rich leather and a flexible stretch felt panel. This panel helps the shoe to fit comfortably on a wide range of feet from narrow to wide. The comfortable low wedge has a heel height of 1.25" and .75" toe platform. They'll give you a little height with a very gentle slope for pain free comfort. We added a cushioning arch support insole, so you can use ours or yours for a custom fit.
The Elsa Wedge Clog fits like our Maria mule and comes in a full leather version, and a leather/stretch felt version. The stretch felt panel make this style wide foot friendly while hugging narrow feet. These new additions are sure to be customer favorites. Stegmann comfort in a stylish wedge!
